My daughter was turning one and the next day we were heading to Disneyland. I tried to pull something off girly because my three older boys don't have much pink in their birthday parties. But it was super simple. The cake is from a giant cup cake mold. Then I frosted rosettes with white pearl sprinkles in each rose. The cake pops were shaped as cupcakes as well. I used Wilton's peanut butter cup mold to help set the circles. First squirt the chocolate candy in the mold, insert the cake pop and press down. Once that has set, turn it upside down and dip the top in your selected color. I used pink then placed a red m&m on top with sprinkles. Make sure to add sprinkles and M&M's before the candy sets. It sets quickly.
Since she has a summer birthday it was decorated in summer theme. Simple but fun none the less. And since she eats mostly macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets. That was our dinner--finger foods.
